It still excites me. We are such a diverse continent, with multiple cultures and languages but I think ,like the old trade union mantra, we have finally decided that "Together we shall always be united".
And that is our strength, we have endured and stayed. Whilst others have gone away and slaughtered the indigenous populations, we are ourselves. We respect our differences and endure. Viva the OLD WORLD!

This must never happen again on our blood stained continent. Men and women of goodwill please listen:-

Frankie Gavin and The Blues
This 22 year old is currently THE AMATEUR LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.
When asked by Eamon Holmes what he thought of the riot at Blues he replied, "Tho only problem is they didn't catch him (David Sullivan). Where has all the money gone? Anyway I'll give em something to cheer about when I win the gold in Bejing"

Sepp Blatter, Platini and the 5/6 rule.
Not only do I applaud this move as 70% of the players in the Premiership last year were foreigners but I think it should be taken further.
We are not in Euro 2008 for the obvious reason.
It is not as if we do not have the talent, we do. But it is easier (and ye'gods cheaper) for the clubs to sign a 16 year old from the third world with proven talent, than take a risk (and spend the money) on a promising 9 year old from the UK.
Where I would take it further (and I would be interested to hear Blatter's and Platini's views on this) is to say that 70% of the managers in The Premiership should be from England too.
As it is we have the farce of Fabrio Capelli managing an England team when he does not understand the English style of play. The same was true of the much trousered Sven Goran Eriksson.
The Feck All have not got a clue and Brian Barwick can't hold a candle to the last great man at the F.A. Ted Crocker.
As usual they will dilly dally and do sod all.
