CAF operates the Jerusalem Light Railway, which connects West Jerusalem with illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied East. The railway therefore cements Israel's seizure and occupation of Palestinian land.
By participating in the project, CAF is contributing to Israel’s serious violations of international law and Palestinian human rights.
CAF has been widely condemned across Europe. Late last year, over 30 prominent human rights organisations and trade unions from Palestine and Europe submitted a report to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) demanding that CAF be included in the UN database of businesses involved in Israel’s illegal settlements. |
