The code that the NSA and GCHQ cannot break.

Despite their huge computer resources there is still one code that their billions of pounds of resources cannot break. Use of the ONE TIME PAD  terrifies these organisations. And yes, it even makes redundant  the vast complex that the NSA is constructing in Utah and the Prism programme as well as the information that GCHQ Bude, and a network of other satellite listening posts have been providing for decades. Edward Snowden should get a medal for updating us on recent developments and the GCHQ dog.
The code can be generated easily by hand using a scientific calculator but the essential requirements are that only trusted users have a copy and that it must be destroyed immediately after use, preferably by incineration followed by throwing the results of that incineration into a river or the sea. Never ever use the internet or a phone to transmit the code and ensure that only trusted friends (preferably one trusted friend) have copies which they can use to decode your message.
If you must use a computer to generate the code ensure that it is never connected to the internet ever. Not only do the security services monitor your internet usage, mail (e-mail as well as  snailmail) and telephone messages but also monitor everything that you do on your computer and phone (including your keystrokes) and can access all of your data (files, photographs, music - everything) every time that you switch on your computer or phone, if it is connected to the internet.
You should use pre agreed innocent phrases such as ("meet me at Pete's" or "the weather is hot")
to tell the user which page of the one time pad to use. Such pre agreed phrases can also be used, without using a one time pad to convey something useful to your contact (e.g. "meet me at Pete's" could mean "I will meet you at the park on the other side of town at 1530 on 29 June").
By the way there is another problem - your trusted users are probably reporting to the spooks and your home, clothing and car are probably bugged. Feeling paranoid yet?  You should be as your employer is also checking you out . Good luck in your attempts to avoid the surveillance state and hello to my readers at the NSA and GCHQ. Always remember that you are public servants and that we taxpayers are paying your wages and search your consciences and ask yourselves if you are protecting our civil liberties or endangering them.
