Johnny Cash

Whilst Phil Ochs represented protest and ultimately desolation he was a deeply sensitive man. Cash was of a differeent breed. A redneck and a christian  from the south and the archetypal American hard man. But they were both rebels. One ultimately killed himself and whilst the other got pretty close on a diet of alKhol and drugs he lived out his final years in peace. Or did he? This, almost the last video and recording that he made, suggests, like us, all that he was tortured by his past.
