Lockerbie - the U. S. A. in Denial

 First up let me say that the horrors and the grief of the families affected by this disaster must be a terrible experience for them and they have my deepest sympathy
 But the clamour in America for Scottish and British ministers to appear before a congressional committee on the matter has much to do with forthcoming elections and little to do with the truth. The Libyans nor Megrahi  were not involved in this massacre.
 It happened as a direct result of an American cruiser shooting down an Iranian passenger aircraft for which the captain was honoured. Fact - sometimes Americans just don't get it or are taken in by the lies of the media and their corrupt and xenophobic politicians.
