Clegg and Cameron or the 2C's
Unable , or perhaps unwilling, to explain what they meant by THE BIG SOCIETY during the election campaign it is now becoming clear what this means. Firstly it is a fig leaf for privatising all public services and a slow death march back to the dark years of Thatcherism. Secondly it means that where the private sector is going to charge too much for doing the job then our public services are going to be run by volunteers, who will man our libraries and our post offices and take over the duties of the police. Their latest crackpot idea is to abolish Asbo's and let the general public take the law into their own hands by forming vigilante groups and beating up whoever they feel prejudiced against on any particular day.
